New York City Volunteer Program
New York City volunteers support The Fresh Air Fund year-round by dedicating their time in The Fund's office and throughout the city. Volunteers spend their evenings tutoring and mentoring, calling parents with reminders about their children’s summer trips, and assembling mailings. In the country, volunteers participate in hands-on camp clean-up projects and help out as Counselors for a Day. Corporate volunteer teams also play a meaningful role in Fresh Air programs. Groups participate in team-building activities in New York City and at Fund camps in Fishkill, NY. Volunteer support for programs represents a significant savings in funds.
